We are glad that this year’s Mystery Shoppers Programme (MSP) tailored for
SME retailers has seen great response – all 100 places have been subscribed
shortly after registration began! Onsite assessments of frontline customer service
have been conducting for these 100 companies since August. They will be able
to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their frontline service, and take
necessary action for improvement. Through this programme, the Association
intends to help participating SME retailers enhance customer service and
strengthen market competitiveness.
In addition to the MSP, SME retailers have also been very keen on other activities
that the Association has launched this year. The following is a highlight of the
SME Retail Conference and Retail Workshops that have taken place thus far.
Kicking off this year’s support programme for SME retailers, the SME Retail
Conference – “From Challenges to Opportunities” was held on July 21 at Hong
Kong Productivity Council Building in Kowloon Tong. The conference was
well attended by nearly 200 representatives of SME retailers who took the
opportunity to share insights into business operation and development, while
celebrating the launch of this year’s remarkable programme dedicated to
supporting SME retailers.
The Association was delighted with the presence of three guest speakers –
all of whom are distinguished retailers and successful entrepreneurs, coming
from diverse backgrounds. During the conference, they shared their valuable
knowledge and experience with participants on how to turn challenges into
opportunities.
We were also honoured to have Ms. Belinda Kwan, Assistant Director-General
(Industries Support), Trade and Industry Department, to present souvenirs to
the guest speakers to appreciate their participation.
The conference served as an excellent platform for SME retailers to connect
and inspire one another. Participants appreciated the opportunity to obtain
new knowledge which will largely help them to improve business performance
and boost competitiveness.
Before the event concluded, the Association gave a briefing on this year’s SME
initiatives. Participants’ response was overwhelming, with many signing up
for the programmes right away.
