突破機構於
1973
年成立，翌年推出《突破雜誌》，以反省主
流文化、為青少年提供另類生活觀點為使命。其後陸續成立
輔導服務、影音及出版工作，以多元媒體及活動培育青少年
生命成長。
1981
年「突破」遷入牛頭角辦公室，於上址開設門市服務，
因位置成長廊形狀而命名為「突破書廊」；除提供突破產品
外，亦推介有關心靈培育、心理成長、人際關係、社會文化
等讀物，以開拓心靈、充實生命為使命，服侍香港青年人。
「突破書廊」後來搬至佐敦吳松街突破中心，不但再次擴大
書籍種類，亦加入影音類及勵志禮品類。
現時「突破書廊」共有
5
間店舖，分別位於香港區、九龍及新
界重要交通匯點，為「突破」多元媒體產品提供全線及優質
的零售服務。
「突破書廊」的客群以青年人為主，為配合青年人具創意、
愛表達的特質，於特選店內設有《青年人創作間》及《你一
言、我一語》，前者為年輕人提供展覽、展銷機會，後者針
對特定生活議題提供留言和抒發意見服務，在零售服務以外
多加一份與年輕人共同成長的心意。
Breakthrough was established in 1973. In the following
year, Br eak through Magaz ine was l aunched wi th
the mission of ref lec t ing, and prov iding al ternat ive
perspectives on mainstream culture. Since then, we
have established counseling, audio-visual, and publishing
services with the purpose of nurturing young lives through
multi-media and other activities.
“Breakthrough” moved to Ngau Tau Kok office in 1981
and started retail service at the same time. The name
of “Breakthrough Book Gallery” was chosen because of
its corridor-shaped location. In addition to providing
Breakthrough products, we offered books in spirituality,
popular psychology, and interpersonal relationships as
well. The mission of our Gallery is to nurture the lives
of Hong Kong young people with open mind and spirit.
When the Gallery was moved to Breakthrough Center at
Woo Sung Street at Jordon district, we expanded further
the categories of books, audio-visual productions and
inspirational gifts.
Now, Breakthrough Book Gallery has five shops located
in high traffic areas in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and
New Territories. They continue to provide a full range of
Breakthrough Products and quality retail services.
The major customer group of Breakthrough Book Gallery
is youth. As they are full of creative ideas, and are ready
to express their opinions; we provide designated spaces,
namely “Creative Place for Youth” and “Voice Out”, in
selected shops. The former is an exhibition and sales area
for their hand-made products. The latter is an open space
to post their views on specific life issues. Breakthrough
Book Gallery provides more than a pure retail service as we
walk with our youths.
