Who Can Join

To qualify as a FULL member of the HKRMA, your organization:

Retailer with physical outlet(s)
  1. Has engaged in the retail sale of merchandise or the provision of retail services with physical outlet(s) in Hong Kong.
  2. Must have a valid business registration.
  3. Has been fully operative for at least one year.
  4. Shall not have any records of trading in counterfeit goods.
  5. Might be asked to provide proof such as tax returns or bank statements to prove that you have been trading for at least one fiscal year.
  6. Might be asked to provide a recommendation for your membership application.
E-tailer (Retailer without physical outlet)
  1. Has engaged in the retail sale of merchandise or the provision of retail services in form of website or mobile APP with check-out process without physical outlet(s).
  2. Must have a valid business registration and with a physical business address in Hong Kong
  3. Has been fully operative for at least ONE year.
  4. Shall not have any records of trading in counterfeit goods.
  5. Might be asked to provide proof such as record of stock keeping, tax returns or bank statements to prove that you have been trading for at least three fiscal year.
  6. Might be asked to provide a recommendation for your membership application.
Membership Rights
  1. Full Members shall enjoy all benefits of the Association at member rates. Click Here for details of Membership Benefits
  2. Members shall receive regular copies of the Association's publications, circulars, market information, schemes or programmes introduced by the Association from time to time.
  3. Full Members shall have full voting rights at the Annual General Meeting and shall be allowed to nominate its own members or other members to stand for election at the Annual General Meeting.
  4. Full Members shall be allowed to participate in all HKRMA sub-committees either by invitation or voluntary participation.
Subscription Rates
FULL MEMBERS (being fully operative retail outlets)

Additional fee of HK$590 per outlet shall be levied up to HK$30,000 maximum payable per annum
SME Retailers
(employ fewer than 50 individual staff)

Additional fee of HK$590 per two outlets shall be levied up to HK$30,000 maximum payable per annum

(The additional fee will be calculated based on the next even number if the total number of outlet is an odd number)
Retail chain operations with
more than 10 outlets
(for all other store sizes)		 Basic fee HK$5,900

Additional fee of HK$590 per outlet shall be levied up to HK$40,000 maximum payable per annum
Department Store operators or retailers with outlets exceeding 3,000 sq. ft.
(per outlet basis)		 Basic fee HK$5,900

Additional fee of HK$2,950 per outlets shall be levied up to HK$40,000
FULL MEMBER (being e-tailers without physical stores)
Annual Sales Turnover Annual Membership Fee
(1st January to 31st December)
HK$1 million - 10 million HK$3,180
above HK$10 million HK$10,000
NOTE
  1. All subscriptions shall be due on the 1st day of January each year.
  2. If such subscription is not paid within 30 days from the date of a request to remit the subscription to the Association, the membership of such member shall be void, unless he satisfies the Executive Committee that the delay in payment was due to absence from Hong Kong or other sufficient cause.
  3. Application for 1-year membership (apply in January to June), the member will be required to pay the annual fee according to the above subscription rates.
  4. Application for 18-month membership (apply in July to December), the member will be required to pay 1.5 years of the annual fee according to the above subscription rates.
