Highly respected as the Oscars of the retail
trade, the Award has been successful in
promoting the awareness of service within
the retail industry since its inception in 1986.
This year, the Award registered 509 frontline
retail staff from 90 brands. The participants
underwent 3 rounds of assessments, and the
Award result was announced at the Winners
Announcement Ceremony on 3 November
2016.
Witnessed by a thousand guests and retail practitioners, the participants marched in the
venue with excitement and joy, and kicked off the ceremony together with Mr. Thomson
Cheng, Chairman of the Association. This year, the Association was honored to have
invited Mr. Peter Shiu, Legislative Councillor (Functional Constituency Representative for
Wholesale and Retail); Mr. Kevin Yeung, Under Secretary for Education; Mr. Desmond
Leung, Vice President and General Manager, Global Merchant Services, Greater China,
American Express International, Inc.; Mr. Henry Yip, Vice-Chairman of the Association and
Mr. Paul Ma, Chairman of the 2016 Service & Courtesy Award Organizing Committee to
present recognitions to some 60 frontline retail staff from over 30 brands. All winners will
receive their trophies or certificates at the Association's 2016 Annual Dinner and Award
Presentation Ceremony to be held on 6 December 2016.
