As a result of the changing consumer habits globally, the retail
and tourism sectors are facing an increasingly challenging
market environment. Throughout its 34 years of service,
the Hong Kong Retail Management Association has always
provided staunch support on professional education and
training to help retail practitioners tackle every challenge.
Hong Kong always prides itself as one of the ideal places
for shopping. The Government will continue to promote this
competitive edge of Hong Kong, alongside with our other
strengths as a gourmet paradise, events capital of Asia as
well as an international metropolis but yet surrounded by our
beautiful and tranquil natural landscape within close reach from
the town centre. We treasure the close relationship between
the Government and the Association to further promote
tourism and to reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a world-class
tourist destination for the sustainable and overall benefits of the
tourism and related industries.
On its 34th Anniversary, I sincerely thank the Association for
its substantial contributions to the retail industry and wish the
Association continued success in many years ahead.
