As we move along 2017, the Association’s calendar will be getting busier with the
launch of our annual flagship programmes and various events. This year’s Retail
Conference was successfully held on 9 May. Having the stellar speakers from
Lane Crawford, Chow Tai Fook, Ztore, Next Digital Ltd., Nike Hong Kong and Sun
Hung Kai Properties, the whole-day conference attracted near 750 attendees.
The annual Service & Courtesy Award was launched in April with a theme on
heartfelt services with innovation and fun. Taking this opportunity, I would like
to invite members and fellow retailers to nominate your outstanding frontline
staff to join this competition.
On the other hand, we are very pleased to announce that over 20 well-established
e-shops in Hong Kong have been successfully recognized by our “Quality E-shop
Recognition Scheme”. The Association believes the Scheme would help develop
industry-wide standards and best practices for online retailing in Hong Kong.
Many more applications are currently under review. If you would like to have
your e-shops to be assessed and recognized by the scheme, please act fast.
This year, Hong Kong is celebrating its 20
th
anniversary since the handover in
1997. As Mrs. Carrie Lam has been elected as the next Chief Executive of HKSAR,
a new administration will commence on 1 July. At the time of composing this
message, the top government officials of the new administration are yet to
be announced. As Hong Kong’s leading retail association, we will continue
strengthening our strong rapport and close connection with the Government
under Mrs. Lam’s leadership. The Association will update the Government the
latest challenges that our industry is facing; and will continue our advocacy on
various policies pertaining to the retail industry development and the business
environment of Hong Kong at large.

售商提名傑出的前線員工參與比賽。
協會推行全新的「優質網店認證計劃」後，
迄今已有超過

間香港著名網店成功獲得認
證。他們的參與有助提升香港整體網店的作
業模式和標準。現時協會正在處理多項認證
申請，請從速行動為你的網店申請認證。
香港今年慶祝回歸

週年，而隨著林鄭
月娥女士當選香港特別行政區新一屆行政
長官，全新的政府班子亦將於
7
月
1
日上
任。在撰文之時，新一屆政府的主要官員
人選尚未公佈，但作為香港的主要零售商
會，協會將會繼續與林鄭月娥女士領導的
新政府保持良好緊密的合作關係，致力向
政府轉述業界面對的難題，並就影響香港
零售業發展及營商環境的各項政策積極發
表意見。
