Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 34th
Annual General Meeting of the Hong Kong Retail
Management Association. It is a great honour
to deliver my second report since I took up the
chairmanship in 2015.
This reporting year has seen significant
milestones reached in the development of our
Association. In the face of a rapidly evolving retail
landscape and the technology transformation that
is reshaping our industry at an unprecedented
pace, we have boldly ventured into new horizons
in terms of our advocacy and member activities
and services.
We are particularly gratified to see our members
endorsing the values we uphold and the goals we
strive to achieve by rendering their strong support
and year-round participation in our activities.
May I give my hearty thanks to all members,
and particularly my fellow Ex-Co members, for
their advice to me and their commitment to the
Association.
Embracing a New Retail Paradigm
After three consecutive years of downward trend,
we are glad to see the retail industry starting to
stabilise in 2017, with retail sales value having
returned to mild positive growth in March. For
the first nine months of 2017, retail sales value
has increased by near 1% over the same period
last year. We expect sales to remain positive with
at around 2% growth for 2017 as a whole.

到非常榮幸，能為大家發表我自2015年履新以來第二份主席
報告。
於本報告年內，協會的發展已邁進重要的里程。零售環境瞬
息萬變，科技革新一日千里，正以前所未有的快速步伐改變
著零售業的面貌。面對這些轉變，我們勇
於求變，敢於在政策倡議、會員活動和
服務方面開創一片新天地。
我們很高興看到協會會員認同我們一
直秉持的理念及致力爭取的目標，在
整個年度積極參與協會的活動，大力
支持我們的工作。我藉此衷心感謝全
體會員，尤其感謝執委會成
員給予寶貴的建議及對協
會的貢獻。
迎接零售新面貌
零售市道連續三年下滑，
協會喜見零售業於2017
年轉趨穩定，3月份的零
售銷貨值開始錄得輕微
正增長。首九個月的零
售銷貨值較去年同期增
加近1%。協會預期2017
年全年的零售銷貨值將錄
得至約2%的增長。
