At the morning session of the panel discussion, moderator
Mr. Cheng raised that SMEs have limited resources, how
do they prepare for developing and investing in omni-
channel retailing?
All guests viewed that an online business can be accessible by customers around
the clock, and all products can be made available on its online store to enable
customers to shop in a well-informed manner. However, no matter whether
one develops omni-channel retailing from online or offline first, a business
should have a clear positioning. It is also important for a business to consider
the objectives and the goals of these plans before implementing their various
marketing campaigns, or any plan for enhancing customers' shopping experience.
In connection with the hot topic "Big Data", the guests opined that data collection
is a challenge, and retailers should consider beforehand as to what kind of data
they need and how to sort out useful data from a host of data.

Big Universe". Mr. Bankee Kwan shared that Pricerite
was well aware that the supply of properties would increase
starting from 2012 and expected that small units would flourish in the market. The
retailer, he said, thus started to rejuvenate their brands by providing one-stop home
solutions while upgrading its design team to tailor-make products for customers. It
aimed at applying wisdom from our daily life to help customers utilize every inch
of space. Early in 2003, he said, Pricerite started to develop its online shopping
platform. In recent years, it has further developed omni-channel retailing by
combining both online and offline channels.
Mr. Kwan emphasized that enterprise development is people-oriented. He said
Pricerite has introduced a corporate culture embodying "Commitment", "Caring",
"Devotion", "Winning" and "Happiness", and people always come first. He viewed that,
no matter how our economy flares, a company would be in an invulnerable position
as long as it has good business, excellent service and is able to leverage the collective
wisdom from its team.
