for the participants to tour the University's training and e-commerce operation base in
Hangzhou, where they acquired knowledge about operations of online shops, logistics and
fulfillment, warehousing systems and customs clearance. The programme has helped to
inspiring e-tailers upgrade and transform smoothly their online and offline operations, in
addition to developing their online businesses. The programme was so well received that
its capacity of 24 seats were quickly taken up by our members and senior retail managers.
Meanwhile, the Association has strengthened among our members the adoption of
e-tailing marketing skills and technology. This has been done by way of activities such as
business matching, education and training. In the coming year, the Association will launch
its new initiative "Quality E-Shop Recognition Scheme" to promote the best practices and
standards for online retailing, and to recognize local online retailers that have rendered
excellent e-commerce service experience. Further details of the Association's programme
will be announced in due course. Please stay tuned.
