including Announcements for Public Interest (API) on TV
and radio, print and online advertisements, social media
promotion, and one-stop retail portal (
org.hk/) that underscores the multi-faceted retail industry
has been rolling out since June 2015 to attract the public’s
interest.

The Association has been actively promoting the
Government’s Retail Technology Adoption Assistance
Scheme for Manpower Demand Management (ReTAAS)
since it launched in December 2014. This $50 million
funding will be provided to retailers on a matching basis;
the Government will cover a maximum of 50% of the total
approved project cost.
As one of the vetting members, we have been
encouraging our members, especially SMEs, to apply for
this Scheme to adopt information and communications
technology (ICT) and other technologies that can help
manage manpower demand.
