為零售商締造更美好前景
政府的支持能更有效推進零售業的持續發展。本
年度協會向政府提出多項有利業界持續發展的可
行方案，包括採取更有效的策略促進旅遊業發
展，運用創新的市場推廣去重塑香港品牌，以及
提議香港積極舉辦更多國際大型活動。我們要以
創新的方式，使香港在區內多個主要城市之中脫
穎而出。
電子零售業的發展日新月異，協會敦促政府加快
建立完善的電子商貿生態系統，加強零售商，特
別是中小企在科技應用及電子商貿方面的支援。
協會建議政府成立跨部門的專責小組，加強推廣
創新科技，同時制訂政策吸引及培育電子商貿人
才。
同心協力 加強倡議
年內協會亦與各大行業商會緊密合作，加強向政
府表達業界對強制性公積金對沖安排的意見。協
會重申，政府應採取謹慎、持平的態度處理此
事，尤其是在香港營商環境靈活度不足、成本高
昂的情況下，政府更應審慎考慮此安排對業界的
影響。我們樂見新一屆政府在提出新建議前，再
次向業界諮詢。
Striving Better Prospects for our Retailers
Government support is critical to the industry’s growth.
During the year, we proposed to the Government feasible
solutions for the sustainable development of the industry,
including suggestion for a stronger tourism strategy, using
innovative marketing to refresh the branding of Hong Kong,
as well as staging more international mega events in the
city. We need new approach to differentiate Hong Kong with
other major cities in the region.
In view of the rapidly evolving trend of e-tailing, we urged
the Government to speed up efforts in building up an
e-commerce ecosystem and strengthen its assistance
to retailers, especially the SMEs, in retail technology and
e-commerce development. One of the key suggestions
is the setting up a cross-bureau taskforce to strengthen
innovation and technology adoption, and formulate policy to
attract and groom e-commerce talent.
Strengthening Advocacy with Joint Efforts
Throughout the year, the Association worked closely with
major trade associations in order to strengthen our voice to
the Government on the Mandatory Provident Fund Offsetting
Arrangement. We reiterated to the Government that they
should adopt a cautious and balanced approach on this
matter, especially when Hong Kong is suffering from a rigid
and high cost structure. We are pleased to see the new
Administration has launched another consultation before
putting forward any new proposals.
