Investing in New Blood for Sustainability of the Industry
孕育優秀人才 鞏固業界發展根基
Retailers, big or small, are desperately short of
talent. It has been the Association’s objective
that a skilled talent pool is critical to the industry’s
sustainable success. To meet this demand, the
Association has taken actions and encouraged
newcomers to pursue a career in the industry.
Earn & Learn Pilot Scheme for Retail
Industry
The Earn & Learn Pilot Scheme for Retail
Industry, jointly organized by the Association, the
Government and the Vocational Training Council,
aims at enhancing student-workers’ professional
competencies. Launched in 2014, this Scheme
targets at graduates with Diploma of Secondary
Education qualification, and has received strong
support from 46 companies covering more than
90 brands that have offered 3,100
vacancies to the students.
To attract more young talent to the
industry, we have endorsed the
Scheme through various channels, and
encouraged our members to advocate
the Scheme among their customers and
staff. The Association also conducted
educational outreach sessions at
schools and youth organizations. We
will continue to promote the Scheme in
the pursuing year by joining hands with
non-governmental organizations and
stakeholders.
零售商無論規模大小，都面對人才匱乏的難題。協會希望
建立一個人才薈萃的平台，為行業的成功及持續發展奠下
穩固基礎。為達到這個目標，協會推行多項措施，吸納新
進從業員，並鼓勵他們在零售業盡展所長。
零售業「職」學創前路先導計劃
協會與政府及職業訓練局於2014年合作，推出「零售業
『職』學創前路先導計劃」，招募中學文憑畢業生加入零
售業。計劃自推行以來，得到46家零售企業，共90多個品
牌鼎力支持，為學員提供了3,100個職位。
協會透過不同渠道，包括鼓勵會員公司向客戶及員工推廣
此計劃，同時向學校及青年機構推展，以吸引更多年青人
投身零售工作。新一年，協會將繼續加強與非政府機構及
持份者合作，以擴大計劃的參與人數。
